Te Awa Poem
Rapids flourishing,
aquatic life
fresh kai
comforting kengo.
Protected place
by the people
protected place for the people.
Joyfull rapids
drifting stones
loud laughter
cheerful homes.
Aquatic life
a different story
slowly declining in Whanganui.
Although this is happening the people are doing their best.
