SSR Week 5

 Picture Books: read at least three picture books from within the classroom. Write a paragraph about  your favourite book. Remember to include the storyline and the illustrations in your response. Out of the three picture books I read this week my favourite one would have to be, How the Kumara Came to Aotearoa, retold by Bea Hamer, because of the art style and how it was a Maori legend. The book talked a lot about Hawaiki which is supposed to be the place where the Polynesians originate from, it was interesting because sometimes they don't mention anything about it in other Maori legends.
